New Delhi: A Mega Co-operative meet under the chairmanship of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is organised on September 25th by National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), a federation of co-operative bodies in the country. The Co-operative Seminar will be held at Indira Gandhi Arena in Delhi, around 2,000 delegates from across the country are rumoured to participate in the event.
NCUI chairman Dilip Sanghani told Media, “This Seminar will be the first of its kind. The theme of the seminar is Sahkarita se Samruddhi means “Co-operation for Prosperity”. The objective is to bring leaders and delegates from village level to national level under one roof and give a create a cooperative movement in the country”.
NCUI will organise the event while IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited), will sponsor the event. Other cooperative bodies such as NAFED (National Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited, KRIBHCO (Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited) and NAFSCOB (National Federation of State Cooperative Banks) and NAFCUB (National Federation of Urban Cooperative Bank) will collaborate too.
The announcement has come at a time when farmer leaders are organising MahaPanchayats to revive stir against government and blockades are continued in Delhi.
