New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will be inaugurating “Azadi@75-New Urban India: Transforming Urban Landscape” conference-expo in Lucknow on Tuesday and will also be launching many development projects.
The PM’s Office said that Modi will digitally submit the keys of Pradhan mantra Awas Yojana- Urban houses to 75,000 beneficiaries in Uttar Pradesh’s 75 districts and will be interacting with them virtually.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 75 urban development projects under Smart Cities Mission and AMRUT and release a coffee table book encircling 75 projects executed under different flagship missions of the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
PM will also be walking through the three exhibitions that are being set up in the expo, PMO stated, adding that he will also make an announcement on setting up of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Chair in Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University in Lucknow.
The PMO stated that the conference-expo will be organised by the ministry from October 5-7 as a portion of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. It is themed on altering the urban landscape with determined focus on the transformative changes to be brought in UP.
All the states and UTs will participate in the event, which will help in commitment, experience sharing and direction for further action.
