New Delhi: Two teachers of a government school in Sangam Eidgah, Srinagar were killed in a terrorist attack on Thursday, Jammu & Kashmir Police reported.
The police official said, “At about 11:15 AM, terrorists shot dead two school teachers at Sangam Eidgah in Srinagar district.”
He stated that the area has been enclosed off and terrorist hunt has been commenced to pin down the attackers.
This incident happened days after three people, including the well-known chemist Makhan Lal Bindroo, were gunned down in Srinagar and Bandipora in J&K.
Mayor Junaid Mattu has said on Wednesday that a road will be named after the prominent pharmacist Bindroo.
Mattu tweeted saying, “The road from Haft Chinar Chowk to Jehangir Chowk will be named Shaheed Makhan Lal Bindroo Road as a tribute to his contributions to the society.”
