Four busted in Telangana brothel racket case

New Delhi: Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Rachakonda police department has arrested four individuals while busting a brothel racket on Saturday night. Police reported that they have rescued a minor girl of 17-year-old from Bihar.

Taking action on a piece of specific information about a brothel being functioning from a house in Royal Colony in Balapur, the AHTU raided the place.

Police nabbed Rehana Begum, the main operator from Chandrayangutta and her partners Salma from Bandlaguda and Syed Abubaker, an auto driver. Police also detained Md Ashu, a customer residing from Edi Bazar, Santosh Nagar.

Police seized cash of Rs 2,420, 3 mobile phones, and other evidence from the accused.

The accused was then handed over to the Balapur police for further investigation and the minor victim was sent to a state home for rehabilitation.
