Hundreds of OGWs and terror-sympathisers detained by J&K police

New Delhi: Hundreds of over ground workers (OGWs) related to terror organisations have been detained in Jammu and Kashmir over the civilian killing issue that happened in the past week. According to the sources, around 700-900 individuals were held for their links with the terror organisations. The huge operation was undertaken due to the seven civilians being shot dead in J&K last week.

“No stone will be left unturned to find the killers,” an official stated. As per reports, 29 people have been shot down for their links with terror groups. The recent killing by the terrorists in the valley were of two non-Muslim school teachers Supinder Kaur and Deepak Chand. On Tuesday evening, terrorists shot dead a well-known pharmacist Makhan Lal Bindroo who was the owner of a leading pharmacy store in Srinagar.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has directed raids at 16 locations in J&K on Sunday. According to sources, NIA has detained over 570 youth including former terrorists and stone pelters.
