Delhi: Pakistani terrorist arrested in Laxmi Nagar, recovered AK-47 and hand grenade

New Delhi: A Pakistani terrorist has been captured from Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar and recovered an AK-47 rifle and a hand grenade from his possessions on Tuesday.

The terrorist has been identified as Muhammad Asraf, residing from Pakistan’s Punjab area.

“Delhi Police Special Cell arrests a terrorist of Pakistani nationality from Ramesh Park, Laxmi Nagar. He was living with a fake ID of an Indian national. One AK-47 assault rifle with one extra magazine and 60 rounds, one hand grenade, 2 sophisticated pistols with 50 rounds seized,” ANI reported.

Relevant provisions of the Unlawful Activities Act, Arms Act, Explosive Act and other provisions are being cited against the culprit.

A search operation has also been commenced at his current address in Laxmi Nagar’s Ramesh Park.

This came after three days when Rakesh Asthana, Delhi Police Commissioner carried out a meeting with the top officials and discussed matters related to anti-terror measures during the festive season in the national capital. They also held a meeting on October 9 on measures to prevent the terrorist militants from taking support of locals.
