New Delhi: Taliban militants allegedly beheaded a junior member of Afghan women’s national volleyball team, team coach revealed in a report. Mahjabin Hakimi used to play for Afghanistan’s junior women national volleyball team and was beheaded earlier this month by Taliban, the coach said.

In an interview, the coach briefed that Mahjabin Hakimi was murdered in October, however, nobody got the information about the gruesome incident as the Talibani insurgents threatened her family and relatives to not talk about the killing of the young teenager. Before the collapse of the Ashraf Ghani government, Mahjabin used to play for Kabul Municipality Volleyball Club and was amongst the club’s star players.

The teenager’s beheaded and bloodied neck pictures surfaced on social media a few days back.
