New Delhi: Pakistan-based Journalist, Aroosa Alam has stated that she is disgusted by recent allegations of Punjab Congress. According to her, She is “extremely disappointed and disgusted with Punjab Congress politicians” and will “never come back to India” as she is “hurt and broken”.
Recently, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa stated that a probe will be conducted on Alam’s alleged ISI links. Capt. Amarinder Singh reverted in tweets posted on his behalf by his media adviser Raveen Thukral. He said Alam has been “coming for 16 years with due GoI clearances.”
Aroosa defended herself saying, “I am coming to India for two decades, for 16 years, on Captain’s invite and even before that, as a journalist and as a part of the delegation. How Have they suddenly woken up to my links?”
Aroosa Alam further added that she admires Sonia Gandhi. She said, “I admire her a lot. I have good feelings for her and the Congress as I used to write a lot about Indo-Pak relations only because of her. Congress had such a majority in Punjab, but now it’s hopeless and directionless.”
Aroosa continued saying, “I want to ask all these people, who think both the UPA and NDA governments are incompetent as they are granting visa to an ISI agent? Tell them to talk about some common sense. They(Punjab Congress) only wanted to embarrass Captain by dragging me into the whole controversy. They have realized captain floating his party can finish all their chances in the state.”
