New Delhi: French News portal Mediapart has created a new debate with a claim in the France-India rafale deal. The Portal has alleged that Dassault Aviation, manufacturer of the Rafale fighter aircraft, paid € 7.5 million to Sushen Gupta’s Mauritius company Interstellar Technologies between 2007 and 2012. Sushen Gupta acted as an “Intermediatory” in Rafale Deal.

Mediapart further claimed that the office of the Attorney General of Mauritius sent Details of transactions to the CBI on October 11, 2018. The Portal shared an image of the letter from the Mauritius AG’s office to the CBI. No Comments on The allegations have come from CBI, AG Office, and Gupta’s office.

Sushen Gupta is already on ED’s watch as he is charged in Augusta-Westland Deal. In April 2021, the Media part claimed Gupta’s involvement in  Rafale Deal, also supplied classified documents to Dassault Aviation on the activities of the Indian negotiating team.

Earlier, Dassault Aviation and the Ministry of Defence rejected allegations of any corruption in the Rafale contract. In December 2018, the Supreme Court dismissed numerous petitions demanding a court-monitored investigation into the deal. Supreme Court said there is “no occasion to doubt the process” leading to the award of the contract.
