Doval and Tajikistan’s NSA meet on Afghanistan and Regional Security

New Delhi:National Security Advisor Ajit Doval held bilateral meetings with Tajinkistan NSA Nasrullo Rahmatjon and Uzbekistan NSA Abdusalom Azizov. The meeting happened ahead of the NSAs meeting on Afghanistan, on 9th November.

According to the sources, “views on Afghanistan, with significant  assessments of Concerns due to the return of taliban. The nations fear extreme terror threats coming in future. The Tajik NSA mentioned the rapid change of the situation in Afghanistan”.

Pakistan was also mentioned indirectly in the meet through referring to Islamabad, as Islamabad backing Taliban was mentioned.

Whereas, on the bilateral front, The nations discussed deepening cooperation in areas of interests like “defence, border management and border infrastructure development”.

A meeting of NSA’s is supposed to happen today at New Delhi. The meeting will be attended by Russia, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The meeting will be headed by NSA Ajit Doval.

The NSA counterparts are also rumored to meet PM Modi after the meeting. Some are rumored to travel to Amritsar for a travelling visit.
