R Hari Kumar declared as Next Navy Chief


New Delhi: On 9th November, The Central Government announced Vice Admiral R. Hari Kumar, presently Western Naval Commander in the Indian Navy will serve as the next Chief of the National Force.
He will take the oath of duty on 30th November when the present Chief of the Indian Navy Admiral Karambir Singh retires from his service.
Hari Kumar is a 1983-batch officer, Kumar has been conferred with the PVSM (Param Vishisht Seva Medal), AVSM, and VSM. He has served in various command, staff, and instructional appointments, According to the Union Ministry of Defence. He has served the nation on INS Nishank, Missile Corvette, INS Kora, and Guided Missile Destroyer INS Ranvir. Importantly he has commanded INS Virat.
