Squid Game Creator Hwang Dong-Hyuk Confirms Part 2 Of The Popular Korean Series

The creators of the series didn't uncover any particular insights about the upcoming season, yet added that the lead actor of the first season, Lee Jung-jae, will have a significant role in the new season as well.

New Delhi: The enormously famous Korean series Squid Game will return with a second season, affirmed by creator Hwang Dong-hyuk to the Associated Press at a screening of the show in Los Angeles which happened recently. 

Hwang said that the show has got a lot of appreciation in the first season, however a huge load of pressure too to think of a second season. Hwang told the press, “There’s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season. So I almost feel like you leave us no choice! But I will say there will indeed be a second season of Squid Game. It’s in my head right now. I’m in the planning process currently,”

The creators of the series didn’t uncover any particular insights about the upcoming season, yet added that the lead actor of the first season, Lee Jung-jae, will have a significant role in the new season as well.  “I do think it’s too early to say when and how that’s going to happen. So I will promise you this, Gi-hun will come back. He will do something for the world,” Hwang expressed.

Post its premiere on Netflix in September, The series Squid Game swiftly climbed up the popularity chart of Netflix, and stayed in its ten most famous titles for a really long time. Squid Game has significantly changed the game for Netflix, however for its actors as well. Lee Jung-jae, who has been working for more than 25 years in the entertainment industry, said that people recognise him now in America also.
