Chennai’s Marina beach flooded after heavy rain, places closed in the region

The famous Marina beach, from Fort St George to Foreshore Estate has been flooded due to heavy rains from a cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal.

New Delhi: Heavy rainfalls lash Chennai incessantly and its neighboring regions on Thursday, causing waterlogging and affecting vehicular movement in the city. The famous Marina beach, from Fort St George to Foreshore Estate has been flooded due to heavy rains from a cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal. Many other regions like KMC Hospital road, Sterling Road and Nungambakkam have been waterlogged due to non-stopping rains in Chennai.
