New Delhi: Sonu Sood, an actor emerging as a real-life hero for thousands of migrants during the pandemic announced on Sunday that his sister Malvika Sood Sachar will be joining Punjab politics, adding that he has no such plans for himself. Residing from Moga district, Sood stated his sister has been working a lot in the past and following her action wants to amplify that by participating in the upcoming state assembly polls.
“Malvika will give an affidavit of standing by what she promises to the people. And if she fails to deliver, she will give up,” Sood stated.
However, Sonu Sood didn’t disclose which party she will be fighting in the elections for, citing it will be announced at a perfect time. On being asked whether he would join politics or not, Sood replied that for now, he will be supporting his sister to work for society. There have been speculations about Sood entering politics as he met Arvind Kejriwal, AAP national convener in Delhi in August.
