CBI conducts searches at 76 locations across India related to online child abuse

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting searches at 76 locations across 14 states and UTs in connection-related charges of online child sexual abuse.

Today, on 16th November, The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting searches at 76 locations across 14 states and UTs in connection-related charges of online child sexual abuse.
These searches are being conducted at Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, UP, Punjab, Bihar, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh. Earlier, 23 separate cases were registered on 14th November against a total of 83 accused on the allegations related to Online Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation.
In January 2021, CBI arrested 2 accused included a B Tech engineer identified as Neeraj Kumar Yadav. Another accused was named Kuljeet Singh Makan.

According to CBI the “accused (Yadav) was advertising over Instagram Account for sale of objectionable material including child pornographic material. For this, the accused had purchased a large volume of data, from another accused person named Kuljeet, this happened through cloud-based websites containing objectionable material including the child pornography material, and made payment to him was through Pay-TM for the same.”
