BJP Spokesperson Nighat Abbas attacks Kangana Ranaut over her ‘Gandhi’ Remark

Nighat shared a video on Twitter in which she replied to Kangana, she said, Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi is inspired by the teachings of Gandhi and such statements against him should be considered as defaming India at the international level.

New Delhi: BJP Spokesperson Nighat Abbas has attacked Kangana Ranaut after actress mocked Mahatma Gandhi in a series of Instagram posts. BJP Delhi spokesperson, Nighat Abbass said, Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi is inspired by the teachings of Gandhi and such statements against him should be considered as defaming India at the international level.

Nighat shared a video on Twitter in which she replied to Kangana Saying, “Mahatama Gandhi has been given the Father of Nation status by the people of the country. His ideas have kept the Bharatiyata alive in the country, whose thinking has inspired our Prime Minister Narendra Bhai Modi also.”

Nighat added, “By saying such absurd things she (Kangana) is regularly raising questions on freedom struggle and is hurting the people of the country. I believe she is not just hurting people of the country but defaming India at an international level,”
Nighat also condemned Kangana’s remark on Independence. She termed Independence in 1947 as ‘bheek’ and said we got real independence in 2014. BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor has also demanded action on Kangana saying she has insulted the families of freedom fighters
