New Delhi: On 17th October, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti claimed she has been put under house arrest, while two of her party colleagues are arrested by the police.
According to the former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister, her party’s chief spokesperson Suhail Bukhari and spokesperson Najmu Saqib are arrested.
Mehbooba posted pictures of the locked door of her residence and tweeted “Again under house arrest & PDPs @SAAQQIIB & @Suhail_Bukhari too have been arrested, this pattern of using innocent civilians as human shields & then denying their families the right to a decent burial shows that GOI has plumbed new depths of inhumanity.” She attacked the center of Hyderpora Encounter.
A controversy has erupted over Monday’s encounter in Hyderpora following conflicting claims about the two deceased as their family members claimed police’s lathi-charged and killed them. While the security forces claim were “terror associates”.
J&K Leutinent governer Manoj Sinha on behalf of the Jammu and Kashmir administration has ordered a magisterial probe into the Hyderpora encounter here.
