New Delhi: Rajasthan’s CM Ashok Gehlot is going to expand his cabinet today after about 16 months when the Congress government in Rajasthan survived a rebellion led by then Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot.
The state government is going to see a major shift in ministerial posts with some key supporters of Pilot being inducted into Gehlot’s cabinet. According to media reports, Ramesh Meena and Vishwendra Singh will return to the Ministry, Brijendra Singh Ola, Hemaram Choudhary, and Murarilal Meena will also join Ashok Gehlot, all the leaders are Sachin Pilot Loyalist.
The pilot, who had the support of 18 MLAs when he rebelled against Ashok Gehlot is said to be satisfied after meeting with Gandhi’s family during his meeting regarding the cabinet reshuffle. In total, 15 ministers will take oath on 21st November. In this, there will be 12 new and 3 old Ministers of State who are being elevated to Cabinet rank.
Despite the Gehlot government running with the support of 13 Independents, the Congress leadership has decided not to include any of them in the cabinet. One BSP MLA who had joined the Congress, Rajendra Singh Gudha, will be appointed Council as a minister of state.
Earlier on 11th November, Media Reports came that The Congress high command has convinced Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to carry out, the long-pending expansion and reshuffle of his Cabinet. Gehlot may include some of Sachin Pilot’s loyalists. This may cool down the tussle between Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot.
