A grenade blast took place at the Indian Army’s Triveni Gate near Pathankot’s Dheerapul on Monday, in early morning.
The culprits were some unidentified motorcyclists who rolled some grenades in front of the gate of the cantonment around 9 pm. The district was later on high alert and investigation had been started.
The police is screening the CCTV footage that they obtained from the scene. So far, no arrest happened.
Sudrinder Lamba, Senior Superintendent of Police, said that the security had been toughened up in Pathankot and other neighbouring areas.
The search team has found the parts of the grenade that blasted. No one was injured in the explosion.
The Indian Air Force’s Pathankot Air Force base was attacked by heavily armed terrorists in which two security forces members died and other members were injured, this attack took place in January 2016.
