Hotel manager attacked for not serving free biryani

New Delhi: Three people allegedly attacked the manager of Pune hotel in Hinge Khurd after they were refused to be served with a free biryani plate.

Lakshman Sonawane, the 24-year-old who manages the hotel in Vishranti Nagar, registered the FIR regarding the issue at Sinhagad district’s police station.

The police stated that three people came to the hotel on Saturday around 11:10 PM and started making a ruckus with the manager. The manager, Biraswar Das denied them to serve free biryani.

The alleged attackers quarreled with Das with sharp weapons, damaged kitchen equipment and computer and stole Rs 940 from the hotel premises, Police informed. A police team rushed to the incident spot after receiving the information. Das was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his sustained injuries.

The assailants have been detained under Section 394, 323, 427, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections of the Indian Arms Act.
