New Delhi: Telecommunication service provider Vodafone Idea (Vi) will be raising its tariff plans for all the pre-paid users by an estimate of 20-25%. In a filing with the exchange on 23 November, the telecom company stated that the tariff hike will be in motion from November 25.

“The new plans will start the process of ARPU improvement and help address financial stress faced by the industry,” stated the press release.

It also stated that the latest tariff plans will help them to “improve India’s fastest mobile network,” as verified by Ookla, a broadband and mobile network testing app.

“Vi remains committed to play its role in accelerating the realization of the government’s Digital India vision. In line with its commitment to providing its customers with simple and convenient products, Vi has curated an optimum range of feature-rich plans for both voice and data,” they further added.

The move came after Bharti Airtel announced its tariff hike on November 22 for all the prepaid users.
