Siddharthnagar: UP CM Yogi Adityanath meets flood victim, distributes relief material

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met flood-affected people on Saturday and distributed relief material in UP’s district, Siddharthnagar.

Adityanath ensured all possible help from the government to the flood-affected people. CM can be seen giving out flood relief materials to the people affected by the flood that hit several districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier on Friday, the CM conducted aerial surveillance of the flood-affected areas in Bahraich and gave out the relief material to the affected people and their families.

In a meeting with the district people’s representatives and district administration officers, he reviewed the rescue and relief operation launched in three districts.

“Over 2,500 people from four villages have been affected due to flood. Orders have been issued to distribute the relief material to the flood-affected people, and the work is going at a fast pace,” Adityanath stated.

“Teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), PSUs have been present at the spot to assist people and provide facilities including drinking water,” he further said.

Around 619 villages across 18 districts of Uttar Pradesh have been hit by the floods and have caused a lot of damage to the people and property, UP government said on Sunday.

According to the official data, six rivers, including Kuwano, Rohini, Kanhar, Budhi Rapti, Rapti and Ghaghara rivers are flowing over the danger level.

The districts affected by the floods are- Gonda, Mau, Shahjahanpur, Ayodhya, Bahraich, Azamgarh, Kushinagar, Ballia, Sitapur, Kheri, Barabanki, Basti, Maharajaganj, Sant Kabir Nagar, Balrampur, Gorakhpur and Siddharthnagar.
