New Delhi: On 26th November, PM Modi remarked that India’s growth story gets disrupted by the forces influenced by the colonial mindset. According to PM Modi, this happens in the name of freedom of expression.
Addressing a Constitution Day event organized by the Supreme Court at Vigyan Bhawan, PM Modi asserted that the colonial mindset still exists, even after colonialism doesn’t exist, and these forces are putting obstacles in the path of India’s development.
He said, “At present, We are the only country that is trying hard to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement ahead of time and yet, in the name of the environment, various pressures are being created on India. All this is the result of a colonial mindset, due to such a mindset, obstacles are being put in the path of development, sometimes in the name of freedom of expression and sometimes with the help of something else,”
PM Modi also condemned the behavior of opposition parties that avoided going into the program.
He praised the judiciary and government bondage. He said, “ The government and the judiciary have come into existence only because of the Constitution, adding that the two complement each other even while being different.”
