New Delhi: As the Government passes the Bill to repeal farm laws in Parliament without discussion. The Opposition leaders, especially Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the center.

The former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi questioned the move to push through the repeal of the Farm Bill in Parliament in just a few minutes without any discussion. According to him, the center’s behavior Indicates that it was “terrified”, TMC member in Rajya Sabha Derek O’Brien called it a shame that the bill was taken up and passed without debate being allowed.

Rahul Gandhi added, “We wanted to discuss MSP (issue), we wanted to discuss the Lakhimpur Kheri incident, we wanted to discuss the 700 farmers who died in this agitation. But, it was unfortunate that discussion has not been allowed,”

Before the session started, The Congress leaders held a protest in front of the Gandhi statue in the Parliament House complex with banners that read “We demand repeal of black farm laws.”

A day ago, before the winter session started, Opposition parties, TMC, and Aam Aadmi Party skipped the opposition meeting called by the Congress ahead of the commencement of the winter session of Parliament on Monday. Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge organized the meet and was attended by 11 parties in which strategy do disable government in parliament was discussed.
