A 38-year-old woman and her daughter were attacked by a group of four people, the group had two women and two men, the incident took place in northwest Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh area.

The incident happened on November 19, was recorded on CCTV camera. The CCTV footage shows the woman parking her car and her daughter stepping out of it. Two women show up and start to physically assault the woman’s daughter. When the mother tries to step in, other two men in the group started punching, kicking and beating her up with sticks in the parking area of their residential colony.

The woman and the daughter were heavily injured and were hospitalized after the incident. When the mother recovered, she filed a complaint directly to the police.

The police then arrested the two women seen in the CCTV footage. “Based on the CCTV footage, two women Megha (22) and Neha (20) were arrested and efforts are being made to nab remaining two accused and proceedings for non-bail able warrants against the accused have already been initiated,” PTI quoted Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Usha Rangnani as saying.

In her statement, the woman also alleged that she was assaulted by two women and four men, who she claimed were supporters of AAP MLA Bandana Kumari.
