Mamta Meets Gautam Adani, Discusses Prospects of Bengal Investment

The meeting in the chief minister’s chamber lasted for one and a half hours.

New Delhi: On 2nd November, The Indian Business tycoon Gautam Adani met Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the ‘Nabanna’ state secretariat. Both Parties discussed investment opportunities in West Bengal.

The meet was confirmed by Gautam himself via Twitter. He tweeted, “Delighted to meet @MamataOfficial, Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Discussed different investment scenarios and the tremendous potential of West Bengal. I look forward to attending the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in April 2022.”

The meeting in the chief minister’s chamber lasted for one and a half hours. Mamata’s nephew and TMC national general secretary, Abhishek Banerjee was also present at the meet. The meeting grabbed media attention as Mamta Banerjee and her party has constantly attacked Gautam Adani over his relations with PM Modi and Central Government.

As the west Bengal CM took oath for the third time as chief minister in May, Mamata said her main target is the industrialization of the state.

A senior official from CMO stated, “The chief minister is preparing for upcoming BGBS in April 2022. With this in mind, the chief minister had gone to Mumbai and met Adani Group .”
