New Delhi: After Victoria and Abdul and Death of the Nile, Ali Fazal has finally signed up for his second Hollywood film. He has joined the cast of American film director Ric Roman Waugh’s upcoming film Kandahar.

The recent reports by Deadline reports that the shooting has as of now started. Scottish actor Gerard Steward who is most popular for Zack Snyder’s epic film 300 and Has Fallen series, is going to feature in the film in the role of an undercover CIA specialist alluded to as Tom Harris.

Kandahar also features an Iranian-American actor known as Navid Negahban as the Ruler in Disney’s live action remake. Screenwriter Mitchell LaFortune has utilized his own experiences as an insight to pen down the content.

In the interim, Ali Fazal has recently disclosed the first glimpse of his advanced space movie, which is going to be directed by filmmaker Arati Kadav.

Ali Fazal on his Instagram handle shared an image where he was seen dressed as an astronaut. The entertainer said that this untitled project will be something he has not experienced before and he is keen to know how the audience perceives it.

The 35 year old actor stated that, “It was more like an experiment to try and pull this off in some very unlikely conditions too, but that’s a surprise for all for later. We tried to fit a large concept into these frames, I do hope people like it because if they do, we will go five steps further into the unknown and start churning out the rest of this film – yes there might be versions left to showcase,”
