New Delhi: On 4th December, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 18 development projects in Dehradun at an estimated cost of Rupees 18 thousand crores. These projects include the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor.
With this, PM Modi addressed the Vijay Sankalp Maharally along with CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.
PM Modi said, “At the beginning of this century, Atal ji had started a campaign to increase connectivity in India, but for 10 years there was such a government in the country, which wasted valuable time of the country and Uttarakhand” He attacked the Congress party.
PM Modi continued, “For 10 years there were only scams, scams in the name of infrastructure in the country. To make up for the loss caused to the country, we are working twice as hard, India is moving ahead with the intention of investing more than Rs 100 lakh crore on modern infrastructure.”
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also thanked PM Modi. He said, “thank you PM Modi ji. Our Uttarakhand is moving fast on the path of development, and to maintain its momentum, it is necessary to maintain the government of “double engine”. Due to this the development of the state continues at an uninterrupted pace.”
The Corridor will reduce travel time between Delhi and Dehradun to just 2 hours. whereas, will open spaces for Offices and Factories.
