India ranks number one in Test cricket after winning NZ series

In the ICC Test Rankings, Virat Kohli’s side is currently three points ahead of the second-place holders, New Zealand.

New Delhi: Indian cricket team ranked number one in the test team category after being achieving a 1-0 win over New Zealand in a two-match series.

Jayant Yadav’s four-wicket haul and Mayak Agarwal’s precise batting in the second innings pushed team India to defeat New Zealand by 372 runs in the second Test match.

After this win, team India settled the two-match series with 1-0 and now Virat Kohli’s side will be heading to South African for three ODIs and three Tests at the beginning of 26 December.

In the ICC Test Rankings, Virat Kohli’s side is currently three points ahead of the second-place holders, New Zealand.

As of now, India has 124 points, on the other hand, New Zealand holds 121 points.

With 107 points, England is standing in the fourth position. Although England and Australia will be having a chance to improve their ranking as they clash in the five-match Ashes tournament.
