New Delhi: As the Tussle between Residents of Gurugram regarding Namaz offering continues. The CM Manohar Lal Khattar has taken back its decision of providing space to ‘Namaz Offering’ in the area. The Haryana CM took back the proposed areas and said, “Namaz should not be offered in the open and the practice, will not be tolerated”.

Khattar further added, “We have discussed with police and the Deputy Commissioner that this issue has to be resolved. To resolve it, everyone has to offer prayers at their place, someone offers namaz, someone does path, someone does puja, we have no issue with it. And religious places are built for these purposes only so that prayers are offered there. These practises should not take place in the open without consent, this practice of offering namaz prayers here in the open, will not be tolerated.”

The prayers are disrupted by Hindu supportive groups and residents every Friday. Even yesterday, prayers were disrupted by these groups at parks in sector 44 and sector 29, too. They included several people who had been arrested on October 29 for allegedly attempting to disrupt Friday prayers.

The Residents in various sectors of Gurgaon have raised concerns over Namaz on roads and Parks every Friday. The matter has gained a lot of public attention in recent days.
