New Delhi: The Delhi Police has lodged Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut in a complaint for allegedly using objectionable words while speaking about Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) workers during an interview in a Marathi television news channel.
Rout, later on, slammed Delhi Police and clarified, his words meant stupid. He said it is an attempt to pressure him, saying he only used the word “ch*****” and the dictionary meaning of which is “stupid”.
The complaint was filed by BJP Women Wing leaders in New Delhi. The complaint dated 9 December cited Raut’s interviews with two Marathi news channels ‘ tenders’ threats against the life and limb of BJP political workers and also called them ch*****.
The report further claimed that they are doing ch*****giri” was word said by Sanjay Rout.
The Delhi Police has Imposed Raut under Sections 500 (defamation) and 509 (intending to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.
