New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh for his two-day visit. He was received by UP CM Yogi Adityanath. He will be inaugurating the Kashi Vishwanath corridor later in the day, at around 1 pm. He will also visit Kaal Bhairav Temple ahead of Inauguration.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the Kashi Vishwanath corridor on Monday i.e. 13th December. PM is on a visit to Varanasi for a Two-Day Visit.
Varanasi is also the Lok Sabha constituency of PM Modi.
The Kashi Corridor is a Rs 339-crore project, the foundation of the project was laid by PM Modi himself on March 8, 2019. It has been completed in less than three years as planned, even as the pandemic raged on the nation.
This corridor project aimed to create an easily accessible pathway for the pilgrims and abolish the congested streetway to visit Kashi Vishwanath and take a dip in the Ganga and offer the water of the holy river at the temple. Over 3,000 seers, people associated with different religious matths, artists, and other noted personalities are set to assemble at the venue on Monday to witness the inauguration. The program will be as long as 3 hours.
The improvement of the infrastructure of Varanasi is also done with an aim boost to tourism and Industry in the holy city as well as in the region. Sarnath is also going through redevelopments.
