New Delhi: Group Captain Varun Singh, who was rescued from the Kannur helicopter crash on 8th December died this morning. Taking the tally to complete 14. In this crash CDS Bipin Rawat, his wife, and 13 other staff members died.
Group Captain Varun Singh was getting treatment at a Bengaluru military hospital after he was moved from Wellington Kannur, Tamil Nadu. He had been on life support and left his soul left his body today, Morning.

The confirmation was given by IAF by a tweet. The IAF tweeted, “The IAF is deeply saddened to inform the passing away of Braveheart Group Captain Varun Singh, who succumbed this morning to the injuries sustained in the helicopter accident on 08 Dec 21. IAF offers sincere condolences and stands firmly with the bereaved family,”

PM Modi reacted to this news via Twitter. He tweeted, “Group Captain Varun Singh served the nation with pride, valor, and utmost professionalism. I am extremely anguished by his passing away. His rich service to the nation will never be forgotten. Condolences to his family and friends. Om Shanti.
