PM Modi meets UP MPs ahead of 2022 election

New Delhi: On 17th December, Prime Minister Narendra Modi organized a meeting with BJP MPs from poll-bound Uttar Pradesh. The meeting was done about upcoming challenges in elections. Issues Lakhimpur Kheri, Party Organisation were discussed with PM Modi.  

In the parliament during the ongoing winter session. The Opposition is demanding the removal of Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni whose son Ashish is accused of mowing down three farmers and a journalist on October 3 during the farmers protest in Lakhimpur Kheri.

PM Modi was meeting these party MPs in batches, urging them to focus on sports and wellness. He suggested MPs hold sporting competitions to encourage younger talents. However, some MPs from the state were present as many of them are away in poll-bound states.

Guidance from senior leaders and coordination within themselves was also asked by PM Modi. As expected, Ajay Mishra Teni and Varun Gandhi were not present in the meeting.
