New Delhi: As Winter has come, Google marked the season change which is taking place in India and all around the world with their animated Google Doodle. The Doodle is made to welcome the cold waves that are sweeping around the different parts of the world. In the Northern Hemisphere, December 21 is known to be Winter Solstice. On this day, the daylight appears for the shortest time and the night is seen to be the longest one. This day is also known as the Longest Night of the year.

As of the Doodle, it can be seen an animated hedgehog walking happily on snow with nuts, leaves and pine cones around it. Clicking on the Doodle will direct the user to the beginning and ending dates of the formal winter season.
