India records 200 Omicron cases, Delhi, Maharastra with highest cases

New Delhi: India stands at 200 Omicron variant cases so far, the union health ministry stated on Tuesday. Delhi and Maharashtra have registered the highest number of Omicron cases with 54 each followed by Telangana with 20 cases and Karnataka with 19. India recorded 5,326 fresh COVID19 cases with 453 fatalities in the last 24 hours. Active COVID19 cases tally stands at 79,097 with 8,000 patients recovered on Monday, reports stated.

Bharat Biotech has looked forward to the approval from Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) to handle a phase-3 study for COVID19 vaccination booster shot on participants vaccinated with Covaxin or Covishield. “Bharat Biotech has put in an application seeking permission to conduct a study titled ‘A Phase 3 Study to Evaluate the Safety and Immunogenicity of BBV154 and BBV152 as third dose (booster) to participants previously vaccinated with SARS-CoV-2 vaccines’,” Stated official sources.
